TPS Trade Connect is a matchmaker rather than a contractor. We do not wash houses, clean windows, seal driveways or fit filters, and nobody who does is employed by us. What we do is the part most homeowners find tedious: finding people who do this work well across Sydney's north and east, checking them properly before they ever see a job, and putting your request in front of the right ones. The tradie you hire works for you under their own ABN and insurance, and a licence where the work needs one, and your contract is with them.
Homeowners pay nothing to use the service, and it commits you to nothing. You can post a job, receive quotes and decide the timing is wrong, or that you would rather do it yourself. Quotes should be in writing, and we ask tradies to make them clear enough to compare: what is included, what is not, the method and products where they matter, and when the work can happen. If a quote does not say those things, ask. Australian Consumer Law applies to any service you buy, so the work has to be done carefully, competently and to a standard fit for its purpose.
Ten categories cover the outside of the home and the jobs around it: exterior cleaning, window cleaning, driveway and concrete sealing, water filtration, handyman work, deck restoration, gardening and lawns, rubbish removal, pool care and property maintenance. Some need a licence, most do not, and we explain which on every service page. If your job does not fit neatly, post it anyway and describe it; we will tell you if it is something we can match or point you somewhere better. After the job, tell us how it went. That feedback is how the network stays worth using.
Frequently asked questions
Yes. Posting a job, being matched and receiving quotes costs you nothing, and you are under no obligation to hire anyone. You pay only the tradie you choose, directly, for the work they do, on the terms you agree with them.
We match each job with a small number of tradies rather than broadcasting it, so you can compare without being flooded with calls. If you hear from fewer than you hoped, tell us and we will look again. Availability varies with season and suburb.
An independent tradie, trading under their own ABN and insurance, with a licence where the work needs one. Their name and business details are on the quote. TPS Trade Connect introduces you and vets the network; it is not a party to your contract and does not do the work.
Raise it with the tradie first, as you would with any business; most issues are sorted quickly. Then tell us. We follow up every complaint, and tradies who fall short of the code of conduct are removed. Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law remain, and NSW Fair Trading can help if a dispute is not resolved.
