Why join

TPS Trade Connect is the matching arm of The Prestige Standard in Double Bay. Homeowners across the Northern Beaches, North Shore and Eastern Suburbs tell us what they need through a quote form, from a house wash in Mosman to a water filter in Pymble or a deck in Avalon Beach. We pass each job to a small number of vetted, independent tradies who work nearby. You contact the homeowner, quote in writing, and if they choose you, the job is yours on your terms, under your ABN, licence and insurance. We do not employ anyone, take over your customer or get between you and the work.

What you get is work you did not have to chase. Every request comes from a homeowner who filled in the form because they want the job done and asked for quotes, not a scraped list or a name passed around. The suburbs are the ones you would pick: Vaucluse, Bellevue Hill, Mosman, Wahroonga, Manly, Palm Beach and their neighbours, where properties are well kept and owners expect proper work and pay for it. Jobs are matched to the suburbs and categories you nominate, so you are not driving across the city. You keep your own branding, your own pricing and your own relationship with every client you win.

What we ask is straightforward. Before you receive a job we match your photo ID to an active ABN, check your licence on the NSW register if your work needs one, take a copy of your public liability certificate of currency, look at photos of recent jobs in these suburbs and speak to two references, and have you agree to our code of conduct. That code is short: quote in writing, turn up when you said you would, leave the site clean, no pressure selling, and honour your Australian Consumer Law obligations. After each match we ask the homeowner how it went, and we remove tradies who fall short.

Applying takes a few minutes. Fill in the form on this page with your trade, your suburbs and your details, and we arrange a verification call to go through your documents. If everything checks out we onboard you, walk you through how the network works, including the commercial terms, before you're listed, and you start receiving matches in your categories. You can pause your availability when you are booked out and decline any job that does not suit. If you hold a licence you will be matched to work that requires it; if your trade does not need one, the other checks carry the weight.

What you get

Homeowners who asked: Every job comes from a homeowner who filled in the quote form and wants quotes, not a cold lead.
Your suburbs: Nominate the suburbs and categories you work, and matches stay inside them.
You quote and contract directly: You deal with the homeowner, set your price and sign your own agreement.
Stay independent: Your ABN, your licence, your insurance, your brand and your customer relationship.
Vetting that means something: Homeowners know every tradie here has passed identity, insurance, work history and conduct checks.
Feedback you can use: We ask homeowners how it went after each match and pass the useful parts on to you.

Frequently asked questions

Only if the work you want to do needs one. In NSW a Building Commission NSW contractor licence becomes necessary once residential building work tops 5,000 dollars in labour and materials, and plumbing, drainage, gasfitting, electrical and air conditioning work is licensed whatever its size. House washing, window cleaning, gardening, rubbish removal and most handyman jobs do not need a licence. Water filter installation always goes to a licensed plumber.

Current public liability insurance, shown by a certificate of currency with the policy limit visible. We keep a copy on file and ask for the renewal each year. The minimum limit for the network is being finalised; we will tell you during the verification call. If you employ people you will also need workers compensation as the law requires.

Neither. You remain an independent business. The homeowner is your client, the quote and contract are yours, you invoice them, and you carry the responsibility and insurance for the work. We introduce you to people who asked for quotes and keep the network to a standard.

Commercial terms are explained on the verification call and in writing before you're listed, so you can decide with the full picture. We'll walk you through how the network works, including the commercial terms, before anything is agreed.

The ones you nominate. You choose categories within our ten and suburbs within the Northern Beaches, North Shore and Eastern Suburbs. A Manly window cleaner can take the peninsula and leave the Eastern Suburbs alone; a Lane Cove handyman can cover the Lower North Shore. You can change your areas as your business changes.

Yes. A match is an introduction, not an obligation. Decline anything outside your skills, too far away or badly timed, and pause your availability when you are booked out. What we do ask is that if you accept a match you contact the homeowner promptly and quote in writing.

We do not promise volume, and we would be wary of anyone who does. Demand varies by category, season and suburb, and each job goes to a small number of tradies so homeowners can compare quotes without being swamped. What we can say is that every request is real and local, and that tradies who quote clearly and turn up tend to win more of them.

We ask for your side first. Most issues are misunderstandings about scope or timing that are fixed by talking. If a complaint shows a breach of the code of conduct, we may pause your matches while it is sorted out, and repeated or serious breaches end your place in the network. Homeowners' rights under the Australian Consumer Law are unaffected by any of this.
